NaKa machine

Cold atoms have become a major platform for quantum simulation. However, they are typically constrained to a lab environment. This motivated us at the University of Heidelberg to perform a proof-of-concept, in which we tested their compatibility with data-center environments at our project partner site, the Honda Research Institute in Offenbach. The successful realization enables us to take the next steps towards modular and mobile cold atoms set-ups that are compatible with industrial work environments.
